An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded a 36-year-old man, Sulaiman Kazeem, in Ilesa prison for alleged breach of public peace.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olubukola Olowolagba, declined the bail application by the defence counsel and demand a formal bail application because of the gravity of the offence.
Olowolagba adjourned the case till Nov.8 for hearing.
Kazeem is facing a two-count charge of breach of public peace and forcibly entry.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Sunday Ajayi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 10. at about 4:30 p/m. at Oke Aigbe Elesu Area , Osogbo.
Ajayi said Kazeem conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace by forcibly entering into the farmland of Oyeyemi family without any approval. .
He said the offence committed contravened sections 517 and 81 of the Criminal Code cap 34 vol.11 laws of Osun, 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.
His Counsel, Mr Kayode Ajibila, prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
