Lawyers with Disabilities Write the National Assembly on the Disability Bill

Lawyers living with disabilities under the aegis of the Association of Lawyers with Disabilities in Nigeria (ALDIN) have asked the National Assembly to provide information on the current status of the Disability Bill which has been pending before the Lawmakers for ages.

In a letter  signed by ALDIN President Mr. Daniel Amaechi Onwe and addressed to the Clerk of the National Assembly, the association relying on the provision of Section 1 and other relevant Sections of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, 2011 demand full disclosure of the status of the Bill which they say would cater for the welfare of people living with various disabilities in Nigeria.

The association have vowed to diligently follow up on the lawmakers until the bill is finally passed into law.
