Lodgement of Wills Rises From N500 to N10,000

The Acting Chief Registrar of Lagos State High Court  Mrs. D. T Olatokun has announced the upward review of probate fees in Lagos State High Court. In an internal memo dated 11th April, 2017 to the Heads of probate departments in Lagos and Ikeja division of the High Court, the Ag. CR noted that the new payment takes effect from 12th of April, 2017.

 

S/N Description Current Fee Approved fee
a. Probate Forms (with printed Files) N250 (excluding files) N2,000 (with printed files)
b. Search N500 for current year and N250 per for preceding years N2,000 for current year and N500 per for preceding years
c. Confirmation of letter of Administration/Grant of Probate N1,000 N2,000
d. Reading of Will Free N10,000
e. Lodgment of Will N500 N10,000 (Flat Rate)
