President of the National Industrial Court, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo OFR has urged Nigerian Lawyers to embrace the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution ADR for fast, less expensive and effective resolution of dispute.
Justice Adejumo who led NICN’s principal officers and staff to the ADR session of the conference was commenting on the session with the theme: “The Business of Dispute Resolution: Are you thinking what I’m thinking.”
The session which was chaired by His lordship, Hon. Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, President Court of Appeal had as its panelists, former AG of the Federation, Chief Bayo Ojo SAN; Wole Olufunwa, Senior Partner Holland Fenwick William LLP; Kehinde Aina a legal practitioner Aina Black’s on LLP and Isaiah Bozimo, Partner, Broderic Bozimo and Company.
The highly interactive session gave legal luminaries the avenue to discuss extensively on the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution for enhancing efficient justice delivery in a more convenient and suitable platform.
Chief Bayo Ojo SAN in his remark emphasized on the true essence of ADR for dispute resolution.
The session also gave room for the audience participation
At the end of the session the consensus was that the use of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centers will enhance speedy dispute resolution and facilitate socio-economic growth in the country.
