Mazi Afam Osigwe has indicated that he would be writing to the Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA) to find out the reason why he was not cleared to run for the office of the President in the forthcoming NBA National Election.
The above followed the publication this morning which purportedly indicated that he has not been cleared to run in the election.
Urging his teaming supporters to remain calm Mazi wrote:
I woke up this morning to the news that the 2018 Electoral Committee of our great association had not cleared me to run for the position of President of our association.
I must confess that this unfortunate decision had not taken me by surprise given that certain highly placed members of our association had been boasting long before nominations closed that I would never be cleared. The Electoral Committee has not provided any reason for my non-clearance. I will write to the Committee presently to request an explanation for this curious decision.
I thank you all my colleagues for your humbling support so far. I urge you all to keep calm and trust that our great association will do right by us as this decision cannot stand.
We shall overcome.
God bless the NBA.
Mazi is also expected to take advantage of the provisions of the guideline which allows any disqualified aspirant who is aggrieved a seven days window to appeal against the decision of the ECNBA.
