A Magistrate Court sitting in Mpape Abuja has granted bail to detained lawyers David Amafuela and Pius Udo-Uyang who were arraigned on Thursday for alleged obstruction of police operation. David and Pius are both lawyers in the firm of Rickey Tarfa & Co, law firm representing the embattled Senator Dino Melaye.
The lawyers were arrested and subsequently taken to a Chief Magistrate court in Mpape where they were arraigned. Chief Magistrate Zubairu after hearing their oral bail application reserved ruling on same to today, 30th April, 2018. A decision which many found very worrisome.
Today, Chief Mike Ozekhome led a team of over 40 lawyers including Mr. Adesina Ogunlana to appear in court for the detained lawyers.
