A legal practitioner in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Anthony Agbonlahor, has decried poor condition of courts in satellite towns of the territory.

Agbonlahor, a member of Prosecution Team 17 of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Saturday.

The lawyer urged the Federal Government to increase funding to the judiciary for optimal results.

“This will facilitate the establishment of more courts. In fact, some of the courts do not have recording machines and the ones available in most courts are not maintained.

“The equipment need to be replaced in order for work to be enhanced and made easy for judges,’’ Agbonlahor said.

He also noted that the welfare of judges was a very important issue to be taken seriously.
