A lawyer and member of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) Ilorin branch, Lukman O. Bello Esq was yesterday beaten and stripped naked by men of the Nigerian Police while trying to secure the bail of his client who was in detention.
According to report, Mr Bello was stipped to his boxers and locked up in police cell with his client and other inmates.
The intervention of the Chairman of NBA Ilorin Branch Mr. Akande did not make any impact as the police also manhandled the Chairman and a colleague he visited the Police station with.
The Nigerian Bar Association is already taking steps to ensure that those involved are appropriately dealt with.
