President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday nominated the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Tanko Mohammed as substantive CJN.
The Nomination followed the recommendation after an emergency meeting on Monday that Justice Tanko should be appointed substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice Tanko was sworn in as Chief Justice of Nigeria, on January 25, after the president announced the suspension of Walter Onnoghen from the position following allegations of misconduct.
