The Capital Market Solicitors’ Association (CMSA), on 25th September, 2019, elected Mr. Benjamin Obidegwu as its Chairman. Also elected were other executives who, with Mr. Benjamin Obidegwu, will all serve for a two-year tenure that will end in 2021.

“Investors confidence as at today regarding the Capital Market, is very low. I will also ensure that Capital Market Solicitors are adequately remunerated.”

A graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Fellow of the Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law/Centre for American and International Law, Dallas, Texas, Mr. Benjamin Obidegwu has over two decades active post-qualification practice experience and has spent over four years helping in coordinating the affairs of the Capital Market Solicitors Association before his election as its Chairman. He is also the Managing Partner of the Lagos-based law firm, Hermon Barristers & Solicitors.
