IWD: LAWSAN Celebrates Exceptional Female Lawyers in Nigeria


The Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) in a special way today celebrates Nigerian Female lawyers who have distinguished themselves and who according to LAWSAN “shaped the legal profession in Nigeria.

Below is the statement issued by LAWSAN in that regards;

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we take the pleasure of celebrating great women who shape the legal profession in Nigeria.

We feature exquisite personalities like Chief Mrs. Folake Folanke SAN (first female SAN), Hon. Justice Aloma Mukhtar (first female CJN), Hon. Justice Zainab Bulkachua (first female PCA), Mrs. Funke Adekoya SAN of AELEX, Funke Agbor SAN, Kofo Dosekun SAN of Aluko & Oyebode, Mrs. Funmi Falana, Mrs. Funmi Roberts, Myma Belo-Osagie, Hauwa Ibrahim, and, most of all, the resilient and energetic superwomen currently serving at the National Executive Council of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (Ebruka Nelly-Helen, Ramlat Zubair and Onyegbu Chiamaka Stephanie).
