NBA-AGC 2019: TCCP Unveils Exciting Plans for Seniors, Elderly Conferees

The Technical Committee for Conference Planning (TCCP) for NBA-AGC 2019 has promised to make the 2019 NBA Conference much more memorable and pleasurable for the very senior delegates and elderly conferees.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the TCCP Chairman, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode. He stated that Senior and elderly colleagues as the pacesetters in the profession, had over the years contributed immensely towards ensuring that the NBA remains what it is today.

According to the Chairman, “it is only proper that we cash in on every opportunity to show good care and consideration for them with a view to making things more hassle-free for them.”

He added that it would be a great honour to show care for those who had cared, and still cared, for the Nigerian Bar and the legal profession, noting that such gesture was also another way for encouraging more senior and elderly colleagues to want to participate in future NBA programs and events.

Among the special provisions lined up to make the event stress-free for the senior and elderly, according to the TCCP Chairman, are collection and delivery of Access Cards and Conference materials to members of these groups, before start of the conference, appointment of dedicated chaperones for their exclusive benefit, installation of special tea/rest sessions at the speakers’ lounge and many more.

Speaking on the above plans, Mr. Sylvester Udemezue noted that this is in line with the  Paul Usoro (PUSAN) leadership philosophy which is focused mainly on “PUTTING YOU FIRST”. “The steps being planned by the TCCP appear to be also in recognition of the need to show love and more care and to treasure the senior and elderly people in our midst. Such is also in line with TCCP’s promise to make a difference with the NBA-AGC 2019 and to set a standard that would become a positive reference point for future NBA-AGC planners,” he stated.

Speaking further, he noted that “the Nigerian Legal Profession (the bar and the bench) is blessed with a huge number of senior and elderly colleagues who indeed are our fathers, mothers and forerunners in the profession and in the struggle to successfully sustain Nigeria’s experimentation at constitutional democracy founded on rule of law, justice, equity, equality and separation of powers which ensures independence of the judiciary and an accessible, efficient and effective justice delivery system.”

“TCCP appears therefore to be leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that all delegates /conferees for the 2019 NBA-AGC have good value for their pay in terms of the promptness and quality in delivery and efficiency of organization. It indeed promises to be a happy and satisfying experience for all.”
