Covid-19: Sustaining Justice Delivery – Kenya Court Hearing via Video Conferencing [Photos]

Unlike many Africa countries court unawares by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chief Justice of Kenya ,Honourable Justice David Maraga had on the 4th of March, 2020 proactively issued a practice direction providing for electronic case management.

The practice direction presently enables Kenyans to file and serve processes electronically. It also allow courts to conduct proceedings via video conferencing as can be seen in photos below:

Justice Hannah Okwengu delivered 57 judgments and rulings of the Court of Appeal via video link.

Hon. Lady Justice A. Mshila presiding over an income tax appeal matter at Nyeri High Court. Mr. Kiboi Magua, an advocate for the appellant streaming from Nyeri and Mr. Ngari, an advocate for the respondent streaming from Mombasa through video conferencing.
