Afe Babalola and co has appointed Mr Kehinde Ogunwumiju, SAN as the new Managing Partner of the firm. Prior to his Appointment, he was a Partner at the Abuja branch of the firm. Mr. Ogunwumiju takes over from Mr. Adebayo Adenipekun, SAN.
Also appointed are New Deputy Managing Partners for the firm’s Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Ibadan Offices as follows: Mr Tunde Babalola, SAN, Deputy Managing Partner, Abuja, Mr Peter Olomola, Deputy Managing Partner, Lagos, Mr Sina Ogungbade, Deputy Managing Partner, Ibadan office while Mr Ola Faro is the Deputy Managing Partner, Port Harcourt office.
According to a release issued by the firm, Messrs Adebayo Adenipekun, SAN and Olu Daramola, SAN are now Senior Partners in the firm.
Founded by Aare Afe Babalola SAN, CON, LLD in 1965, the Chambers has turned out several lawyers including Judges and Justices of various courts, Senior Advocates and captains of industries.

Kehinde Olamide Ogunwumiju SAN (Managing Partner Abuja)
Kehinde started his career as a Corp Member in AFe Babalola chambers (Ibadan office) and later moved to the Abuja office and rose to the Enviable position of a Partner in Afe Babalola Chambers. He has since been involved in active litigation. He was conferred with the most coveted rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria on the 18th of September, 2017 at 12 years post-call and 36 years of Age. This is indeed a great feat.
Ogunwumiju has been ensuring the operational functioning of the organisation, the development of external relations, management of press relations and communication.
Tunde Afe-Babalola SAN (Deputy Managing Partner Abuja)
Tunde is a Law graduate of the University of Lagos. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He was admitted as a Solicitor & Advocate of England and Wales in 1998. He is involved in active litigation. He worked with the leading litigation Law Firm of Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore and leading commercial Law Firm of Ajumogobia & Okeke before joining Afe Babalola & Co., Abuja as a Partner. His areas of specialty include appeals, arbitration, civil litigation, criminal litigation and commercial matters.
Peter Oluwaseun Olomola (Deputy Managing Partner Lagos)
Peter was called to the Bar in 1998 and has been in active legal practice since then. He practiced in K.O. Tinubu & Co. and the Chambers of C.O.I. Joseph, SAN. He joined Afe Babalola & Co. in 2002. He specializes in Commercial, Land and Company Law, Legal Drafting and Conveyancing and General Appeals. He is of the Lagos office of the Law Firm.
Oluwasina Olanrewaju Ogungbade (Deputy Managing Partner Ibadan)
He is a 1998 product of Obafemi Awolowo University. Ile-Ife. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in January 2001 and has been in active legal practice ever since. Prior to joining Afe Babalola & Co. he worked in the Law Firms of Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa and Co. and G.O.K. Ajayi & Co. He specializes in Commercial Law, Civil Liberties/Public Law, Property Law and Criminal Law. He is in the Ibadan office of the Law Firm.
