Amendment of LPA 2004, Others: Senate Committee Invites Stakeholders to Public Hearing


The Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters has announced an invitation to stakeholders and members of the General Public of Its Public Hearing scheduled to hold on Monday, 15th November, 2021.

According to a notice published on several dailies signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, the hearing will discuss:

  1. Legal Practitioners Act Cap, LFN 2004 (Repeal And Re-enactment) Bill, 2021 (SB.815);
  2. Legal Education (Consolidation, Etc.) Act L10, LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill 2021 SB.820); And
  3. Legal Aid Council Act. 2011(Amendment) Bill. 1 2021 (SB.560)

Time: 11:00a.m.prompt

Venue Senate Conference Hall 231, 2, floor, New Building National Assembly, Abuja

Stakeholders and interested members of the public are requested to submit twenty (200) hard copies and a softcopy of memoranda to the committee secretariat in room 24, 2 floor, senate wing (white house), National Assembly Complex, Abuja to reach us, on or before Friday 12 November, 2021 or an advance copy to be forwarded to for softcopy of the bills please visit
