Breaking: Ferdinand Nwankwo Loses Fundamental Rights Suit against Anambra State Govt

The fundamental right application filed against Anambra State Government by Ferdinand Nwankwo, the erstwhile Igwe of Nawfia, was today the 14th of October, 2021 struck out by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Hon Justice M. Anyachebelu, as being incompetent and academic.

Recall that Ferdinand Nwankwo was amongst the traditional rulers who were suspended in August 2020, by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, for traveling to Abuja without authorization to see the president.

The Honourable Chief Judge upheld the argument of Mr. Ifeanyi Oguejiofor, Principal State counsel and legal adviser to the Secretary to the State Government who represented the  Anambra State Government in the suit.
