Hon. Justice Hussain Mukhtar, the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Kano, Division has died. He died in the early hours of Saturday, 18th September, 2021 at the age of 67.
Justice Mukhtar started his career at Bauchi State Judiciary in 1976 and was one-time magistrate, Secretary Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission. He became the Chief Registrar of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory from 1992 to 1996 when he was elevated to a Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory.
He was appointed Justice of the Court of Appeal in 2006 and was until his demise the presiding Justice of the Kano Division.
Justice Mukhtar has been buried according to Islamic rites
