Speaking on the criteria for the selection of the recipients,  Dr. Aziza noted that “each of the awardees displayed exemplary academic ability and leadership, in the midst of the most severe financial limitations.”

Reginald Aziza Leadership in Law Scholarship was launched in 2017 to fund bright but financially constrained students to the Nigerian Law School and thereafter seeks to connect them to jobs and scholarship opportunities to further their education and careers. The scholarship has earlier funded 9 students to the law school some of whom are working in leading law practices in Nigeria and secured admission to some of the best universities in the world.

On what the scholarship covers, Dr. Aziza noted that the scholarship will “cater for the tuition fees for the ten recipients  and provide them with tailored mentoring and support in the course of their studies at the Nigerian Law School.”
