Once in a while, stars grace the earth with their rare presence, it is up to humans to recognize and treat them as who they are. However, recognized or not, a star does one thing; shine. This sums up the story of Victoria Akingbemila.
Victoria graduated from Secondary School at age 13 and was obviously denied admission even with very high score in UTME. She went ahead to obtain an almost perfect result at A level gaining direct entry admission to 200 level to study law at BOWEN University. Four years after, she repeats history by graduating with first class and best in collage of law.

Her story
A lawyer per excellence I look up to, Destiny Ogedegbe said; there is no right time to tell your story. You can tell and wield it anytime you deem fit. So, this is a snippet of my story.
I graduated from secondary school in 2015 at age 13 as the Best Graduating student, Arts and the outgoing headgirl. I did not get into university immediately, obviously, because of my age, despite my high JAMB score and passing the post UTME. I tried out Alevel, had 14 out of 15 points and then, got a direct entry admission into 200 level to study Law.
Four years later and I’m here again. November 6th 2021, I graduated.
– Bachelor of Laws, First class Honours.
– Best Graduating Student, College of Law.
– Best student, Fundamental Human Rights.
– Outgoing LSS President.
I made the 13 year old girl that cried at the feet of Jesus, because she wasn’t given admission into UNIBEN, proud. To reassure her that her early movement through life was NEVER a mistake. That it’s okay to dream. That her goals and ambitions are valid.
I thank God for my parents, for their invaluable support through the years. I want to appreciate my lecturers and the seniors who believed in me, trained and guided me. I am immensely grateful. I also want to appreciate my friends whom I undertook this journey with. Congratulations to us all.
My undergraduate years was beautiful because of the societies I made family. The quintessential Justicia Chamber, Bowen university Legal clinic, Alpha Assembly, Law Students’ Society, Bowen University It is an honor to serve. ❤️

My name is VICTORIA AKINGBEMILA and I am a product of God’s grace and mercies.
As I move into the next phase of my life, I am under no illusion that things will get easier. Nonetheless, I have watched myself grow through the years, into the Amazon I am now, and I am aware that there is nothing I cannot take on, by God’s grace.
So if life gives me pepper, I will make pepper soup!
In the spirit of putting myself out there, I am interested in Fin-tech Law, Corporate Finance and product management. I am open to internships, mentorship and general guidance on these areas. ❤️
It is greatness only from here onward!
