NBA Renews Partnership with Lawpavilion, Provides Free Access to Foremost Legal Research Tool, Primsol for Young Lawyers

In line with its long-term commitment to enhancing legal research and the overall practice of its members, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under the leadership of Y.C Maikyau, OON, SAN has announced the renewal of its partnership with the foremost legal tech solutions provider – LawPavilion to provide a one-year access to the legal research solution Primsol for young lawyers who are 7 years and below, post-call.

Following this partnership, young lawyers who paid their annual Bar Practicing Fee on or before 31st of March, 2022 become beneficiaries of unlimited access to the features that come with this web-based legal research tool (“Primsol) for the next one year.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ope Olugasa, the Managing Director of LawPavilion said the renewal of this great and strategic partnership with the NBA is something both parties are proud to have achieved. He reiterated that the goal of the partnership is to enrich and simplify legal research process for young lawyers. This is to equip them to serve their clients better, achieve their practice goals and able to compete at a global level.

Highlighting some of the features that the beneficiaries of this partnership stand to gain, Olugasa pointed out that Primsol is a fusion of two of its products – the LawPavilion Prime and the Solicitors and Arbitrators’ Toolkit (SAT); and as such, Primsol has features that cater to both the commercial and litigation aspects of legal practice.

Drilling further down, he stated that there are features such as Precedent Forms and Agreement templates, commercial judgments of High Courts, and regulations of the various MDAs in Nigeria to enhance commercial practice while its robust database of analyzed Supreme Court and Court of Appeal judgments with 63 years of consolidated digest, legal analytics, up-to-date Laws of the Federation, Court Forms, and Civil Procedure Rules gives leverage to litigation Practice.

Primsol also gives beneficiaries access to in-app purchase features including Textbooks and Journals and State Laws where they can purchase books on different areas of laws and Laws of some states in Nigeria.

When asked how beneficiaries can activate their package, Olugasa said they have worked hand-in-hand with the NBA leadership to simplify the activation process. All that is required is for the eligible legal practitioners to be on the lookout for a mail from NBALawPavilion Primsol containing their activation link. They are to click on the ‘Activate Account’ button and fill in the username and password as contained in the mail to gain access to the features of the Primsol product.

Olugasa however urged beneficiaries to activate their package as soon as they get their link because the package is on a first-come, first-served basis.

To ensure beneficiaries are able to maximize the advantage that the partnership offers, Olugasa said LawPavilion will work with NBA-YLF branch Chairmen to ensure proper product training and offer handholding support to beneficiaries.

He concluded by appreciating the Nigerian Bar Association, particularly President Y.C Maikyau, OON, SAN for consistently putting the welfare of the members of the Association on a front burner.
