And like doctors
They too can call the dead the living;
Call the mute the singing!
They too can twist the wrist of numbers;
Twist the fist of books and papers!
They too can build Burj Khalifa in the thin air;
Build Atlantis with just a glare!
They too can promise democracy in kakistocracy;
Promise an octogenarian an infancy!
They too can make and mar merchandise;
Make and mar thy awaited paradise!
They too can birth legal fictions;
Birth new pronouns for gender-neutrals!
They too can deny nothing exists beyond science (of law);
Deny existence of Omnipresence (and His lore)
Lawyers are really naught,
But struggling individuals fraught
With many frailties and faults
Just like doctors
Feeding the world from the dish of untruths.
