Former Deputy Director-General of the Nigerian Law School and renowned Professor of law and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ernest Ojukwu SAN has faulted the suggested proposals for the reform of the award of the rank of SAN by Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa and JS Okutepa, SAN.
Ojukwu in a tweet queried the source of the reform argument which suggests that SAN is only for litigation counsel. He wrote:
SAN:Why are few SANs angry that their teachers are made SAN?LPA says SAN isfor lawyer who“has achieved distinction inthe legal profession in such manner as the committee may from time to time determine.”Where did we derive the argument from that it is only for litigation counsel?
