40-Year-Old Arraigned for Perverting the Course of Justice

A 40-year-old man, Ademola Agunbiade, has been arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ogba, in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, for allegedly perverting the course of justice.

Ademola, who was arraigned on March 6, 2023, before Magistrate S. O Obasa, is facing one-count bordering on preventing the course of justice preferred against him by the police.

The police, Inspector Akinsanya Florence, told the court that the defendant committed the offence in the Meiran area of the state.

According to the prosecutor, the offence committed is punishable under Section 971(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Magistrate S.O Obasa granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two responsible sureties in like sum, gainfully employed with blood relations and two years tax.

The case was adjourned till March 23, 2023, for mention.
