NBA Epe-Lagos (Branch) Annual Law Week Debuts!

The first annual law week of Epe -Lagos (Branch) of the Nigerian Bar Association commenced last week with Jamaat services and Church thanksgiving services held  Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd April, 2017 respectively.

According to the Chairman of the Branch, the one-week event themed “Access to Justice”  is in honour of its Life Patron Rtrd. Honourable Justice G. A. Oguntade and will hold between Friday, 21st April 2017 and Wednesday, 26th April, 2017.

The event is said to attract participants from the Bench, branches of NBA, Civil Society groups, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, the Media and other relevant stakeholders.

The Keynote address on “Legality or otherwise of Remand in Prison Pending Perfection of Bail or Trial would be delivered by the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Olanrewaju, Adigun Fagbohun. Other areas that would be discussed during the event are: Legalising Professional Surety in Nigeria; Appraising the Land Grabbers Law of Lagos State and the Use of NBA Stamp and Seal.

The event is scheduled to hold at St. Michael’s Centenary, Hall, Popo Oba, Lagbade Street, Epe between 10am and 4pm daily during the program.
