NBA Sends Goodwill Message to Muslims On Ramadan

Date:

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud, OON, SAN, congratulates Muslims all over the country on the commencement of the spiritual exercise of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. He urges them to demonstrate the spirit of humility, sacrifice, tolerance and endurance which are the hallmarks of Ramadan.

In reference to the character of Prophet Muhammad, and the lessons of Ramadan, which teach the fear of God, the NBA President calls on Muslim faithfuls to approach this sacred month with the sole aim of reinventing themselves on the spiritual plain as this would have overpowering influence on the character of the average Nigerian, having eschewed bribery and corruption, nepotism, tribalism, hypocrisy and all the “isms” that have impeded Nigeria from achieving her great potentials.

Finally, he calls on all Nigerians to seize the opportunity of this sober moment to eschew all agents of division and harmonise their thoughts and actions towards building a better and more united nation.
