2026 NICN–ELLAN Bar and Bench Forum: Beyond the Courtroom: Rethinking Bar and Bench Engagement in Employment and Industrial Relations

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), in collaboration with the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN), is set to host the 2026 Bar and Bench Forum as part of the activities marking the 2026 New Legal Year of the Court.

The Forum is designed to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue between members of the Bar and the Bench, focusing on key legal, administrative and professional issues affecting employment and industrial relations. The event will feature a panel discussion with stakeholders in the labour and employment sector followed by an interactive Q&A session with judges of the Court.

Discussions will cover areas including recent jurisprudence and decisions from the NICN, practice directions, court administration, professional conduct of lawyers and other concerns arising in everyday legal practice at the Court.
