Date:

An Ebonyi State High Court sitting in Owutu Edda Community in Afikpo South Local Government Area has been set ablaze by hoodlums barely 24 hours after the governorship and house of assembly elections.

In an interview with PUNCH Metro, the Registrar of the Court, Mrs Oluchi Uduma confirmed that the court was set ablaze in the early hours of Tuesday at 2am.

She noted that youths of the area made efforts to quench the fire and also attempted to apprehend the suspected arsonists but they fled.

Uduma also revealed that some hoodlums had on the 15th of this month attempted to set the court ablaze but failed.
