Ogun State Chief Judge Shuts Down Magistrate Court, Owode-Egba

The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu has has announced the closure of the Owode-Egba Magistrate Court in the state.

The closure notice is contained in a letter dated 12th January, 2024, addressed to the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Abeokuta Branch.

No reason was given for the closure of the magistrate court in the letter.

The letter reads in part;

I have the directive of the Honourable the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR to inform you that Magistrate Court, Owode-Egba will be closed down from Wednesday, 31 st January, 2024.

Kindly note that all matters emanating from Owode-Egba Magisterial District shall be filed at Owode-Egba Magistrate Court Registry situate at the Magistrate Court, Abeokuta from Thursday, 1 st of February, 2024
