Court grants bail to two friends who allegedly defrauded man of one million naira

An Igbosere Magistrates’ court has granted bail to two friends, twenty-three year old  Chijioke Ojeih  and twenty-five year old Solomon Ojeh, who allegedly defrauded one Mr. Jacob Akaninyene of the sum of one million naira.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud preferred against them.

Chief Magistrate A.O Komolafe  granted bail to the two defendants each in the sum of one hundred thousand naira with two sureties in like sum with evidence of two years tax payment.
The two friends were said to have conspired with one Mr Gideon who is still at large to fraudulently transfer the money from the bank account of Mr Akaninyene.

Chijioke was said to have set the ball rolling when he approached Solomon for help to pay the medical bill of his pregnant girlfriend.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Abayomi Abass said Solomon was arrested when he went to the bank to close his account and he led police to Chikioke.

The case has been adjourned till 2nd of November for trial.
