Adesina Ogunlana Emerges Chairman of NBA Ikeja Branch Oloke to Succeed

Date:

What a way to end a protracted leadership battle!

Read below the event that unfolded at the scheduled NBA Ikeja Bye Election:

Great news, today the famous NBA IKEJA BRANCH aka Tiger Bar surmounted her protracted and fierce intra- Bar conflict . The stage for the Bye Election for the post of Chairman was set this morning when a rather surprising denouement took place ……the agreement by one of the ‘ two warring parties’ Prince Dele Oloke to yield the disputed office of chairman to my humble self till the Normal end of the tenure June 2018. By the peace agreement , Oloke would now succeed me in the office. Interestingly this agreement did to go down with some of our supporters .

While I Was criticized for agreeing to a deal which prevented a clear electoral loss for Oloke and saving his face , Oloke on his part was bitterly accused of cowardice and treachery by his supporters . May I here pay my respects to our numerous and ardent supporters who came from far and wide to cast their votes and at great cost and inconvenience for their preferred candidates only to meet a no contest situation on ground. I appeal to us all to bury the hatchet and together move our great Branch to higher heights. I also doff my cap to the Ben Oji Caretaker Committee for their decency and sacrificial service.

By their sagacity, they left the IKEJA Bar better than they met it. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Lest we forget him ad commit a great error, Mr Akin Olatunji my greatest respects sir. He was the architect of the peace.

Adesina Ogunlana
