Ekiti State Ministry of Justice, NBA Honour Justice Akintayo on His Retirement

The Attorney General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, Mr. Olawale Fapohunda with members of the three Branches of the Nigerian Bar Association across Ekiti State trooped into Court 2 of the Ekiti State High Court of Justice on Monday 13th January,2020 to attend the valedictory court sitting of His Lordship, Hon. Justice Cornelius Ilori Akintayo, where he read his Final Judgement and bowed out of Service.

In the mini sent-forth organized by the Ministry of Justice in Collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association in the State, the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, Mr. Olawale Fapohunda appreciated Justice Akintayo for his contributions to the development of Justice and the Justice Sector in the State.

A Former Attorney General for Justice in Ekiti State, Hon. Obafemi Adewale appreciated Akintayo for his immense contribution to the Development of the Ministry of Justice, while he was a Permanent Secretary.

The three Chairmen of the Nigerian Bar Association Branches Ekiti State namely Ado-Ekiti, Ikere-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti in turn also commended the Judge in their remarks.

In his response, the Retired Hon. Justice C.I. Akintayo appreciated God Almighty who started with him, as a Court Clerk, and made him to retire as a Judge.
Akintayo also appreciated all counsel and well wishers who came to honour him.
