The National Judicial Council under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, at its plenary of the 105th Meeting held on 15 and 16 May 2024, recommended twenty two Justices for appointment to the Court of Appeal.
Among the recommended justices are Hon. Justice Nnamdi Okwy Dimgba who is a judge of the Federal High Court and currently sitting at the Lagos Judicial Division and Hon. Justice Lateef Babajide Lawal-Akapo of the Lagos High Court.
Also elevated to the Court of Appeal is the former first lady of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Nyesom-Wike Eberechi Suzzette; Hon. Justice Ntong Festus Ntong of the High Court of Akwa Ibom State and Hon. Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman of the Federal High Court.
Hon. Justice Kwahar Polycarp Terna was also elevated alongside, Hon. Justice Ruqayat Oremei Ayoola, Hon. Justice Eleojo Enechem, Hon. Justice Asma’u Akanbi-Yusuf, Hon. , Hon. Justice Abdu Dogo, Hon. Justice Fadawu Umaru, Hon. Justice Ishaq Mohammed Sani and Hon. Justice Zainab Bage Abubakar
Others are; Hon. Justice Abdulazeez M. Anka, Hon. Justice Nwoye Victoria Tochukwu,Hon. Justice Nwabunkeonye Onwosi, Hon. Justice Okorowo Donatus Uwaezuoke, Hon. Justice Ngozika Uwazurunonye Okaisabor, Hon. Justice Nehizena Idemudia Afolabi, Hon. Justice Akinyemi Abiodun Azeem, Hon. Justice Oyewumi Oyejoju Oyebiola, Hon. Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi.
