Lagos State Judiciary Trains 13 Newly Appointed High Court Judges.

The Lagos State Judiciary  has began the induction course for the 13 newly appointed Judges of the High Court of Lagos State.

According to  report, the training  which will last for seven days is taking place at the Recreation/Training Center, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

At the opening ceremony to mark the begining of the indiction course,  the  Lagos Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba,  while welcoming  the newly appointed judges, emphasized that the  purpose of the  induction is to enhance  their professional expertise, facilitate the development of judiciary knowledge and skills, and promote the pursuit of juristic excellence.

The Chief Judge  highlighted that the training is part of a continuous effort to keep the entire staff of the Lagos State Judiciary updated with current judicial practices. He referenced the End SARS protests as an example of the evolving nature of judicial responsibilities in Nigeria, underscoring the necessity for continuous learning and adaptation.

He also advised the newly appointed Judges to maintain humility and seek knowledge through interaction with their colleagues, stressing that they all strive to achieve the same goal.

The Attorney General of Lagos State and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro SAN, while congratulating the the newly appointed judges, he admonished them to uphold their judicial culture and deliver justice with confidence. “Do not forget your culture and remember to deliver justice with confidence in your official duties. I wish you all good luck on the bench,” he stated.

The induction training marks the beginning of a rigorous and enlightening journey for the new judges as they prepare to take on their judicial responsibilities with enhanced knowledge, skills, and a commitment to justice.
