We have received reliable information confirming that the abducted Borno State High Court Judge, Justice Haruna Mshelia, has been released.

Sources reveal that his Lordship regained his freedom last night and is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Justice Haruna was kidnapped on June 24, 2024, along with his wife, driver, and police security guard by suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) near Buratai town in Borno State and Buni-gari in Yobe State.

While the judge has been freed, our source revealed that his wife, driver, and police escort remain in captivity. However, our source indicates that ongoing efforts are being made to secure their release soon.
