Register to Attend the ELLAN, ILAW and the African Labour Law Society International Labour Standards Webinar Series.

The Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN), the African Labour Law Society (ALLS) and the International Lawyers Assisting Workers (ILAW) invite you to the International Labour Standards Webinar Series.              

The objective of the webinar series which started in January 2024 and is now in its last session is to increase the level of awareness of the international legal framework for establishing international labour standards with specific focus on the ILO. At the end of the webinar series, it is expected that the participants would:

• Have a basic understanding about the international legal framework for establishing international labour standards

• Have a good understanding of the fundamental labour conventions and

• Have a good understanding about the application and ensuring compliance with international labour standards

• Become more familiar about the organs of the ILO

The eighth and final session of the webinar series examines Implementation and Compliance Mechanisms for ILO Conventions.

The webinar will be moderated by Elvis Asia Esq. Managing Partner,  Law Future Partners, Lagos, Nigeria and features a high – powered panel including:

•  The Honourable Justice Nelson Ogbuanya, Judge, National Industrial Court of Nigeria; and

•  Professor Evance Kalula, Chairperson  of ILO Committee on Freedom of Association and Professor Emeritus at University of Cape Town.

The webinar is virtual on Zoom and will hold on Friday, 21st February, 2025 at 4PM West African Time (WAT)/5PM South Africa time (SAST).
