Registration Opens for the 2025 Employment and Labour Law Conference in Lagos

The Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN) has announced that registration is now open for its inaugural Employment and Labour Law Conference, scheduled to take place on 9 July 2025 at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This landmark event is set to convene leading employment and labour law practitioners, academics, policymakers, and industry leaders from across Nigeria and beyond. The conference will focus on the evolution of employment and industrial relations law over the past decade, emerging challenges in the workplace, and strategies for shaping the future of employment law and policy.

Key topics for discussion include:

  • Decent Work in Nigeria and Africa: Legal Progress, Structural Gaps, and New Directions
  • The Bench, the Bar & the Boardroom: Reflecting on a Decade of Decent Work Advocacy by the National Industrial Court of Nigeria
  • The State of Employment Law in Practice: Bridging the Gap between Law and Workplace Realities
  • Employment Law and Social Justice in Africa: Rethinking Regulation of Employment and Industrial Law for a New Generation

  • Early Bird Rate: ₦35,000 (available from 1 April to 10 June 2025)
