Rivers State High Court to Begin 2025 Annual Vacation on July 21

The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simeon C. Amadi, has announced that the High Court of Rivers State will commence its 2025 annual vacation from Monday, July 21st to Wednesday, September 17th, 2025.

This announcement was contained in a circular dated June 18, 2025, issued from the Honourable Chief Judge’s Chambers in Port Harcourt. The vacation is in line with the provisions of Order 49 Rule 4(d) of the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2023 (as altered).

During the vacation period, all Judicial Divisions of the High Court will remain closed to regular court sittings. However, urgent matters and applications filed during this time will be entertained by vacation judges designated by the Chief Judge.

Normal court activities are scheduled to resume on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The circular was also copied to the Chief Registrar, Deputy Chief Registrar (Admin), and Director of Litigation for further action.
