The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has invited its members to submit nominations for the appointment of six (6) new Judges to the Federal High Court Bench. This follows an official communication from the Honourable Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice John T. Tsoho regarding the judicial appointments.
The specified states for consideration include:
- Cross River State
- Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
- Kwara State
- Nasarawa State
- Sokoto State
- Zamfara State
In compliance with the National Judicial Council (NJC) Guidelines and Procedural Rules for the appointment of judicial officers, the NBA is required to recommend suitably qualified candidates for onward submission to the Honourable Chief Judge.
The NBA has urged its members to identify and nominate competent and qualified candidates who meet the requisite legal experience, ethical standards, and professional standing required for the Federal High Court Bench.
Submission Deadline:
- NBA Secretariat Submission Deadline: Monday, 24th March 2025
- Final Deadline for Submission to the Honourable Chief Judge: Monday, 31st March 2025
