Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, yesterday, charged judges on faultless verdicts.
Opening the 2023 yearly Judges’ Conference of the Federal High Court (FHC) of Nigeria in Abuja, he urged jurists on fairness and dispensation of justice.
According to the CJN, it is the right of litigants and lawyers to appeal judgment from trial court, adding that judges should be diligent and thorough in their rulings to avoid guilt.
Earlier, FHC’s Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, explained that conference was to discuss issues confronting the court and proffer solutions.
He said they meet yearly to review activities of the previous session and strengthen the entire process.
While applauding the CJN for his interventions, Tsoho commended the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for rising in defence of the judiciary.
