Honorable Justice Joseph Shagbaor Ikyegh of the Court of Appeal is dead.
He was until his death, presiding over the Port Harcourt division of the Court of Appeal.
According to a yet to be verified source, his Lordship slumped and died at his residence on Wednesday, 6th December, 2023. He was 65.
Justice Ikyegh was born on 17 March, 1958 in Konshisha, Benue State. He attended Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School, Makurdi, Benue State and Government College, Keffi, Nasarawa State for his O’level and obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Degree Certificate) at The University of Ife, Ile-Ife (now O.A.U) Osun State.
He was called to Bar in 1980 and began his career at the bench in 1991 at the Benue State High Court. He was subsequently elevated to the Court of Appeal in July 2010 and was there until his sudden demise.
