The Nigerian Bar Association, through its Section on Legal Practice (NBA-SLP), has launched the Guidelines for the protection of personal information for law firms in Nigeria.

The document provides clear and practical guidance on the application of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) to the practice of law. It highlights the importance of data protection in building and maintaining trust with clients. It will also serve as a reference point for the determination of professional misconduct where they are raised.
