Lagos Chief Judge Creates Three Additional Probate Registries In Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu

The  Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice K.O Alogba, has announced the creation of three additional Probate Registries in Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu Judicial Divisions.

According to a notice issued by the Acting Chief Registrar, Mr. T.A Elias,  the additional Probate Registries were created pursuant to  Section 51(1) of the High Court Law of Lagos State 2015,

The newly created Probate Registries are expected to commence processing of Letters of Administration, Grant of Probate, lodgment of Wills, and other related probate matters in effective from the date of the notice.

The notice also indicated that applications for Letters of Administration, Grant of Probate, lodgment of Wills, and other probate matters in the Ikeja and Lagos Divisions shall continue to be dealt with in such divisions unless  the Honourable Chief Judge otherwise directs in writing.
