Lagos State Governor Awards Newly Built Homes to Magistrates in Lagos State.

Date:

The Lagos State Governor on his social media page on the 3rd of May, 2025 announced the award of 3 Bedroom apartments to Magistrates and Legal counsel in Lagos State. He said:

“Today, I handed over two blocks of newly built 3-bedroom apartments to the magistrates and legal counsels in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. These homes represent our appreciation for the work our judicial officers do every day to uphold justice and maintain order in our communities.

Magistrates are often the first contact point for citizens in their pursuit of justice. Their rulings impact lives, influence peace in our neighbourhoods, and shape public trust in the legal system. That’s why it’s so important to provide them with the comfort, dignity, and independence they deserve.

This housing initiative is a promise kept. By creating a supportive environment, we not only reduce the risk of undue influence but also empower our magistrates to make fair and courageous decisions.

While we understand and appreciate the full separation of powers, we are united in one purpose: serving the people.

We will continue to support our judiciary because when we care for those who uphold justice, we strengthen our society’s foundation.”
