Law Digest Africa Awards 2016 Shortlist Released- Nigerian Law Firms Dominate

The Law Digest Africa Awards 2016 Shortlist has been Released with Top Nigerian law firms and lawyers dominating the shortlist. The awards which are organized by Africa’s premier law journal is in its second edition. Last years awards which where held in Lagos, Nigeria on the 6th November featured 16 categories.

The 2016 edition will feature 13 categories with Nigerian law firm Templars having seven nominations, South Africa’s Bowmans & Nigeria’s Banwo & Ighodalo Follow with 4 Nominations each while Ghana’s AB & David & Aluko & Oyebode follow closely with 3 Nominations each.The Emerging law firms category features two Nigerian firms Shortlist  Advocaat & Brooke Chambers

Unlike last years nominees list where a number of categories had 8 different nominations, this years awards would have no more than 4 nominations in each category. The organizers say what distinguishes them from other awards is that they concentrate on growth, innovation, capacity building, community engagement and customer care.  The combination of the award criteria, particularly the significance they place on client feedback ensures that both large and small firms have equal opportunity to win its awards.
