Chief Osuolale Abimbola Richard Akinjide, SAN is the oldest lawyer in Nigeria today. He has practiced law for over 60 years and has stated severally that there is no retirement in legal profession.

Born in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in the early 1930s to an influential family of warriors, Chief Akinjide SAN attended St. Peter’s Primary School, Aremo in Ibadan, a school regarded as one of the best schools in Yoruba land at the time. He then proceeded to Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife from where he passed out in Grade One (Distinction, Aggregate 6).
