“Let’s Do It!” – Aikpokpo-Martins Celebrates Uchenna Akingbade’s Historic Rise As First Female NBA Lagos Chairman

Former First Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), John Aikpokpo-Martins, has congratulated Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade on her election as the new Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch, describing her victory as historic and transformative.

In a congratulatory message titled “Let’s Do It!”, Aikpokpo-Martins praised Akingbade for breaking barriers by becoming the first female chairman in the history of the Lagos branch of the NBA. He commended her outstanding leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to the legal profession.

“This achievement is not only a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and dedication to the legal profession but also a milestone in the history of the NBA Lagos branch,” he stated.

Aikpokpo-Martins expressed confidence that

“I wish her a successful tenure, filled with innovation, collaboration, and progress. May her leadership bring glory to the NBA Lagos branch and inspire future generations of female lawyers,” he said.

He further noted that her emergence symbolises hope and progress for women in the legal field, stressing that her leadership is poised to make a meaningful impact by promoting unity, excellence, and the welfare of members.

Lagos branch, and I look forward to seeing the positive changes and progress that her leadership will bring,” he added.
