LPPC Confers SAN Rank on 58 Legal Practitioners

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has approved the elevation of 58 legal practitioners to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

In a statement issued by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court andSecretary  of the LPPC , Hajo Bello, the new SANs were appointed as a mark of excellence for distinguished advocacy and academic contributions to legal practice.

 57  of the 58 newly appointed SANs were appointed from legal practice while  only  Professor Babatunde Adetunji Oni was appointed from the academic. The advocates made the list in order of seniority at the bar.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new silks will hold on November 27, 2023.
