The NBA Lagos Branch Election is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 29th June, 2017. Three aspirants have so far indicated interest to contest the position of the Chairmanship of the Branch. They are Mr. Chukwuma Ezeala, Mr. Chukwuka Ikwuazom and Mr.John Duru.
We are profiling the contestants in no particular order:
Mr. Ezeala Chukwuma
Mr. Ezeala Chukwuma is a Legal Practitioner, Arbitrator, Mediator, Negotiator, Notary Public and the Senior Partner in Chancellor Chambers.
He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus in 1997 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. He obtained his LLM from the University of Lagos and has an International Leadership Certificate from the International Leadership School, Arlington, VA, USA. He is a chartered arbitrator, a qualified Mediator/Negotiator and a Development for Good Governance & Elections, Conflict Resolution Specialist.
He was Program Manager, Idasa Nigeria; Researcher/Consultant International IDEA, South Africa; Program Manager/National Coordinator JDPC on Good Governance Programme in Nigeria; President, National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Lagos, the National Coordinator, JDPC for the 2003 Elections; Project Manager/Consultant for International Institute for Democracy on DFID sponsored democracy projects for 2007 Elections;
Past NBA Activities
He is presently a member of the NBA, Lagos Branch Human Rights Committee; He was Secretary, Human Rights Committee (Arranged and took some NBA Lagos members to USA and Germany for some trainings and networking); He was Secretary, NBA, Lagos Branch 2011 Law Summit Committee (organized a world class law week at Eko Hotel at highly subsidized rate); he was member, NBA National Welfare committee; he was the Vice Chairman, NBA, Lagos Branch Conference Planning Committee and an Ex-officio Member, NBA, Lagos Branch.
