Following speculations that the press release by the NBA on Saturday 8th October, 2016 is a directives to lawyers to boycott courts, the NBA has issued a Statement to clarify the seeming confusion occasioned by the speculations.

NBA Notice to All Legal Practitioners
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, A.B. Mahmoud SAN in his Press Statement released on Saturday 8th October 2016 in respect of the arrest of some selected Judicial Officers by the Department of State Security (DSS) did not call for strike or boycott of courts in protest against the said arrest.
We hereby enjoin our colleagues to proceed with their normal activities in Courts this morning until contrary direction from the NBA National Secretariat.
