NDPC National Commissioner, Dr Vincent Olatunji Awarded Fellow of The Privacy Academy

The National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) Dr. Vincent Olatunji has been awarded fellow of The Privacy Academy in recognition of his  contribution to the development of privacy and data protection in Nigeria.

The Fellowship was conferred on the National Commissioner at the annual Privacy Dinner and Induction Ceremony held on the 24th day of November 2023, by the Privacy Academy.  Also conferred with the fellowship award is Uche Obi, SAN the Chairman of  The Privacy Academy and Managing Partner Alliance Law Firm.

The event which was held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Lagos, brought together some industry leaders, and lawyers dedicated to the development of privacy and data protection in Nigeria. It featured a thought-provoking dinner speech delivered by Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN on “Why Privacy Matters.”

The event culminated in the induction of forty distinguished professionals as Associates of the Privacy Academy. These Associates were inducted having successfully scaled through the Academy’s training and assessment during the July and September 2023 sessions.

After the induction, attendees were treated to a three-course dinner, providing a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and shared commitment to fostering a thriving community of privacy professionals within and outside Nigeria.
